Welcome!

Welcome to the website of the Biomedical Sciences symposium 2012. The Biomedical Sciences symposium is a special event as it is one of the few times all Leiden’s Biomedical Science students come together for a whole day event. It provides an excellent opportunity to hear about the research projects performed by our Master’s students and can help students orientate on their future study and career path. The symposium will be held on the 8th of June 2012. The theme will be announced later, so stay tuned!

Committee members

Last June the symposium committee for 2012 was formed. We are a committee of eight students and are ready to make this a symposium not to forget. The symposium committee already started in October with planning. At the moment we are busy obtaining sponsorship for the event.
Our secretary is Christa Broekhuizen. She will be in charge of the general communication and regularly checks the symposium email account. Remco Derr is our treasurer and guards the budget. Inge Ganeff will be in charge of the sponsoring, starting with updating the sponsor list and mailings. The collection of abstracts, management of the editing team and the layout of the abstract book will be performed by Kevin Esmeijer. Our forum contact Nienke Derks is in charge of the statements and the panelist. The website, posters, flyers and regular updates will be performed by our PR manager Juliëtte Kamp. The program of the day and the contact with speakers and chairs will be performed by Frank Vrieling. And last but not least, the logistics will be executed by Lynn Pieters.
